Here is the weekly round up of team performances from all our Cottenham Colts teams from Mini-League through to the Girls League from Saturday 4th November.
GIRLS TEAMS
Under-10s v Sawston Girls
The Girls are back!!!
After a couple of tough matches, injuries and illnesses, a full squad travelled over to Sawston in terrible conditions and put on a great team performance. There were some great goals, excellent defending and superb teamwork from all the girls. The conditions made it tough, but everyone gave it their all and deserved the positive result.
Great attitude and commitment Girls!
Under-11s [Purple] v Bottisham [CUP]
Solid performance in the Cup in the rain against Bottisham for Cottenham Under-11 Girls Purple. There was some strong performances all over the pitch today and the forward line punished the opposition. Lots of goals spread around the team.
It was good to see the team carry on their great form this season and the team is really clicking well with all squad players making a difference.
Well done girls and keep up the hard work!
Under-13s 1 v 4 ICA Juventus
Strong performance today against ICA Juventus with a scoreline that didn't reflect the game. Conceded three poor goals in the first half - perhaps a bit of rustiness from four weeks off - and couldn't finish our chances off so well behind at half-time.
But we were the better side in the second half. ICA scored a good goal to go 4-0 up, but then it was all Cottenham. The ICA keeper was the player of the game and stopped numerous chances. We finally got one back through Hannah from the penalty spot after Lila was brought down.
Final score 4-1.
Martha was player of the game for a Captain's performance in midfield. The girls should grow in confidence after that performance. Well done all.
