Here is the weekly round up of team performances from all our Cottenham Colts teams from Mini-League through to the Girls League from Saturday 12th October.
MINI LEAGUE MATCHES
Under-8s v Bottisham FC
The Under-8s faced a rainy day in Bottisham for their match today! Despite the wet conditions, both teams displayed remarkable effort, resulting in a competitive game filled with goals.
The boys showcased excellent football skills, demonstrating effective passing that led to numerous scoring opportunities. There were intense defensive confrontations, and as always, the effort was unwavering.
With each match, the boys are making significant strides and effectively applying the skills we've been focusing on in training.
Keep going boys!

Under-14s 1 v 1 Cambourne [4-3 Pens]
This week, we faced Cambourne at home in the Cup. After a draw with them last week, we anticipated a closely contested match.
The rain poured down, but it didn’t deter Hannah, who seized a free kick opportunity to score and put us ahead 1-0 in the first half.
The second half turned into a real struggle. Cambourne came close, hitting the bar, and Flossy nearly doubled our lead, but her shot went just wide.
After some pressure from Cottenham, Cambourne countered and managed to equalize, making it 1-1.
In the final moments, Cottenham seemed more likely to score, with Bethan narrowly missing the target. The match ended in a draw, leading us straight to penalties.
Leila made a fantastic save on Cambourne's first penalty, and their second shot went off target. Goals from Hannah, Flossy, Bethan, and Tia secured our victory at 4-3.
Leila was named Player of the Game, shining as our star keeper on her birthday.
Great job, team!
