Under-12s [Purple] 0 v 1 Huntingdon Town

Another away match, another dreadful pitch, and yet another grueling contest.
The first half was a struggle, with very few chances created; our best opportunity came from Carmen, but her shot was saved.
The second half mirrored the first, as the muddy conditions persisted. Saffron Walden managed to score first with a scrappy goal that slipped past Ava, making it 1-0.
That was the only goal of the match, resulting in a narrow defeat. It was unfortunate for the girls, but at least this marks our final away game in Saffron Walden for the season.
Paige earned Player of the Game for her solid performance at right back.
Under-14s 6 v 1 Saffron Walden Community Girls

The girls took on Saffron Walden today, aiming for another victory in the League. However, the visitors had different plans and struck first with an early counterattack, putting them ahead 1-0.
Cottenham responded effectively, and after several missed opportunities, Lila capitalized on a through ball from Sasha to equalize before halftime.
The second half saw Cottenham come out strong, with a well-placed cross from Bethan finding Luka in space, allowing us to take a 2-1 lead.
From there, the floodgates opened as Lila netted two more goals for her hat-trick, while Hannah added a brace, with her second being a stunning long-range shot that was the highlight of the match.
The final score was 6-1, marking another impressive performance. Lila was named Player of the Game for her three goals.
